Q1: Can a solar power system really reduce electricity cost?
Absolutely! You see, with a solar power system, you’re using free energy from the sun. The energy from the sun is absorbed by the solar panels and either used by you immediately or fed back to the grid and you get Retail price credit from Aurora WOW! That’s free electricity you're getting paid for selling back to the grid at Retail Price! It’s only when you use up the energy generated by the system, that you evert to using the energy billed to you by Aurora, this sees your tax paid money back in your pocket thus reduces your overall household expenses.
Q2: How does a solar power system work?
In basic terms, firstly, the sunlight hits the solar panels. Then the panels generate DC electricity. Then it is converted into A.C. 240 volt electricity by the Inverter included in the system, to your “Freely” supplied new Electronic Meter (Thanks Aurora) to run your home.
But the surplus electricity that’s not consumed is fed back into the grid and used by the neighbourhood, which with others, helps to de-stress the network upgrade requirements, which benefits us all. You get a credit at retail, plus save our precious resources, Thus Hydro buy less stinky coal generated electricity from the mainland via bass link or burn less gas at the backup George Town system, or turn down the tap on our precious water reserves.
This may eventually lead to net exporting of power to the mainland at premium rates, just as we wanted it to be! Plus! Support and /or encourage expanded local industry demand and job growth opportunities into the future. Remember every kilowatt counts!
Q3: I regret buying a Heat Pump that doesn't meet my needs. Can you tell me how
to choose the right model for me?
I fully understand the regret and frustration of buying a Heat Pump, or any appliance,
that doesn't fit your needs. Are you running a "Hydro Till" in your home? However, it's not
as easy as it sounds to choose the right appliance to buy. That's because there are many
factors you have to consider, including the brand, model, capacity, warranty, size of your
home, home design, and many more. So unless you're very familiar with all the different products, and their pros and cons, you'll probably get confused or make a poor decision!
So the easiest way to choose the right Heat Pump, or any appliance, that meets your
needs is to simply choose the right supplier. The right supplier will take the time to
understand your needs, and then figure out the best options for you.
